Thank you for making DiaMaze! I had a lot of fun playing it. 🙂 I posted a video review here.

Thanks for playing and the review! Was unexpected too see after a few years haha, glad you had fun, even with some of the flaws.

Impressive. What engine did you use ?

Thanks for playing!

I didn't use an engine, I only used gbdk, which is a toolkit to compile gameboy roms from C code. All of the game itself is custom.

Would you mind revealing how you develop these games? Is it some form of rom hacking, i.e. do you start developing your games from an existing rom? Would love to hear this since I'd like to tinker with games like these myself. Thanks!

Hi, this was made completely from scratch using gbdk (a small toolkit to compile Gameboy roms from C and/or assembly).

Cool, thanks!

This is a fantastic little platform/exploration game. Cute and atmospheric graphics/audio. The game design, controls and execution are pretty much flawless. Difficulty and length are spot on.

It's possible to complete it on an original DMG, although the bats and arrows are near impossible to see. A backlit modded machine or a SGB is recommended.

New or old; easily one of my favorite games for the old brick. Wouldn't mind getting this on physical media.

I am playing between jobs. It feels nostalgic as I gradually get better skill ... It's a wonderful game.

Dear fb1,  may I please re-share your games (not just this one:) on my github project page?  More details about the project in my profile --> https://retrobrews.itch.io/.  Thank you in advance! Retro Fan

Hey, sure, go for it! Always happy to see more people still interested in games for these old platforms, looks like a neat project. It would be nice if you can add a link back to my itch page in the description file of each game :)

Hi fb1, thank you very much for the approval! The link will be included for sure, as for all the games in my repo.  ;)

Really nice game! Looks and sounds awesome. I'm playing it on my EverDrive. I am, however, stuck already in room 4/5. lol.
